Who are you?

PlantCentral is a multilingual online marketplace for all kinds of plants – from houseplants and outdoor plants to our speciality, aquarium and aquatic plants. Hobbyists and commercial sellers offer their plants directly to other plant lovers – from rare collector species to robust beginner plants. On top of that you will find helpful tools like our aquarium calculators and a growing plant database.

Browsing plants, offers and the plant database is possible without an account. As soon as you want to buy, sell, send inquiries or use the wishlist and waitlist, you need a free account.

PlantCentral is available in German, Dutch, English, French, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Czech and Romanian. You can switch the language at any time via the language menu.

Find a plant you like, open the offer and send the seller an inquiry. You then agree on the details directly with the seller in the inquiry chat – quantity, price, shipping and payment. Once everything is settled, the seller ships your plants. Browse plants

Yes. PlantCentral has an open interface for AI assistants and agents such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity. It lists every plant on sale with price, shipping, color and position in the aquarium, so an assistant that can browse the web finds matching offers for you and links you straight to them. Ask it to search plant-central.de, for example:

  • Find the cheapest red stem plant on plant-central.de.
  • Find a red foreground plant for my aquarium.
  • Find a green midground plant under 10 euros.
  • List all white plants.
  • Which epiphytes can I tie to wood in my aquascape?
  • Is there a dwarf anubias for sale, and what does shipping to Austria cost?
  • Which carnivorous plants can I buy?
  • Which plants are new on PlantCentral?

Developers and AI agents find the technical description at plant-central.de/llms.txt.

Payment is handled directly between you and the seller, so the available payment methods depend on the seller. You will find the accepted methods on the seller's profile page – or simply ask in the chat after sending an inquiry.

Each seller ships their plants themselves and sets their own shipping costs, packaging and conditions – for example whether they ship in extreme heat or cold. Check the seller's profile for their shipping terms, or clarify the details in the inquiry chat before you buy.

Contact the seller directly in the inquiry chat, ideally with photos taken right after unpacking. Most issues are resolved between buyer and seller in a fair way. After a completed purchase you can also rate the seller – reviews help the whole community.

With the wishlist you can bookmark plants you are interested in. If a plant is currently sold out, join the waitlist and we will notify you as soon as it becomes available again.

Every registered user can sell: simply create an offer for a plant from your stock. Commercial sellers are legally required to add their imprint to the legal details in their account settings. Write your listings in German and/or English and only offer plants you actually own.

Creating an account and your first listing are free. If you want more active listings at the same time, you can choose a paid Premium plan. Optional offer boosts give individual listings more visibility – you can find all prices on our Premium page. View Premium packages

Premium packages are monthly service subscriptions with extra features for sellers. Offer boosts are one-time purchases that promote a single offer for a limited time – for example a spot in the homepage gallery, a top position in the search results or a visual highlight in lists.
